Trinity Doula Services is a full spectrum doula agency made up of several experienced and thoroughly trained doulas. Our goal is to support the families in our areas to have the birth and entry to parenthood they desire. We offer unconditional support to families in Southern Illinois & Eastern Missouri  regions seeking a positive birth experience.


 

A postpartum doula provides evidenced based information on things such as infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, mother–baby bonding, infant soothing, and basic newborn care.
A postpartum doula is there to help a new family in those first days and weeks after bringing home a new baby. Research shows that moms, dads and babies have an easier time with this transition if a good support team is in place.

Our postpartum doulas works with each family individually to find out your particular needs.
Some of the duties that your postpartum doula will perform include:
Breastfeeding support
Help with the emotional and physical recovery after birth
Light housekeeping so that mom does not feel so overwhelmed
Running errands
Assistance with newborn care such as diapering, bathing, feeding and comforting
Light meal preparation
Baby soothing techniques
Sibling care
Referrals to local resources such as parenting classes, pediatricians, lactation support and support groups
Most postpartum doulas provide service for a family anywhere from a few days up to a several weeks after bringing home a new baby. Families may have the doula work 1-3 days a week or as many as 5 days a week.
 Our Postpartum doulas also offer night time service to help your family transition more gently into the challenges of night time parenting.

The postpartum doula’s role is to support everyone in the family, including mom, dad, siblings, and baby.  Our postpartum doulas are there to support mom through the postpartum period and to help the family as a whole.
All of our well trained and experienced doulas understand the needs of families during the transition period of adjusting to life with a new member and are prepared to happily serve your family to make life flow as smoothly as possible.
